WLOS-TV reported yesterday that 50K people had already voted in Buncombe County alone.

Going by 2016 vote totals, that would be over 1/3 of the voters in the county already.

I say no way. I voted on Thursday in person in one of the three early voting precincts, and, at best, they were moving 100 people per hour. That's 1200 per day per precinct. That gets us to just under 11K in person voters. Am I supposed to believe 40K or so mail-in ballots have been received already?

Sorry. Not buying that.

I agree with your general premise that it seems like some of these early voting totals are beyond belief.

However, I also think Trump voters are going to crawl over broken glass to get to the polls and many may vote early just to ensure there isn't some frickup on election day when they can't get to the poll...

So, we'll see, not sure what will shake out.

Like a mass shooting at some voting location (by far right extremist of course) that forces polling location across the country to have to close? Yeah, I thought of that too. I'm voting this weekend.
