Hell no...I don't think its fair to bail out NY either. That's not the point....the point is that Kentucky is a leach and NY is a producer and McConnel says bailing out NY is unfair but the annual bailout of his state of Kentucky is more than fair. And the right agrees in lockstep for some strange reason. It is perfectly fine to subsidize costs in Kentucky with California money but for gods sake do not go the other way....strange that.

It never fails to amaze how many people on the right are dead set against expecting everyone to be self reliant. I can honestly say I do not think there is more than 1-2% of the people on the right who think everyone ought to be responsible for themselves. Now if we are only talking about poor and working people, well yeah, the right is all over them being self reliant....but the employer of the poor and working class? Self reliant...nah, let them pay "the market price for labor" because people are merely a commodity like pork bellies and crude oil. When you couple this fact with the rights claim to morality and adherence to Christian values you begin to see a trend in self loathing and dishonesty that is painfully obvious.

I totally agree. We should reign in the Federal budget so New Yorkers aren't giving handouts to Red States Cuomo is such a hack. Maybe somebody should point out it's progressive policies at the Federal level causing that redistribution
