Baloney. The USD is backed by both the full faith and credit of the US, the largest economy in the world and…..massive nuclear capability. The latter is implied.
The point of the Genius Act was to get the US Doller on chain so that the tokenized marketplace can be established. It is happening very fast.
It is more than obvious that most in this thread have absolutely no clue what is actually happening. In fact, the entire premise of the OP is wrong because Bitcoin is very widely used. Every day more nation states and financial institutions are stockpiling Bitcoin. It just is not used for day to day transactions because it is no longer its intended purpose. The same way we don’t go into a store and buy groceries with gold bars.
But I’m sure you all know this already and continue to call it a scam because your wife’s boyfriend lost $17 on his big Bitcoin purchase at the top of a bull run.

The complete ignorance of everything in this statement is mind blowing. Wow.
Good luck, bud!

There was once a thing called the “dot com boom.”
Was when I sold my first company. Great times! Sorry you didn’t take advantage.

The sad thing is I probably made more money on Bitcoin since 2022 than you did in your entire 35 years. Good luck!
Absolutely not.
I have bitcoin btw. Fomo trade for me. You too but you just won’t admit it.
I also have Nvidia, Visa, meta, and other stocks that are up considerably. These are real companies with real earnings.
So Keep on pumping it up online to create that FOMO. That’s actually a lot of what keeps BtC going.

You can argue all you want about it. It isn’t going to change what is coming.
And I’m fine with it. If it’s more widely accepted as a currency, that’s a good thing.
I’m not going to bet on the hope that it’ll someday replace the USD though.

The days of the USD as the world's reserve currency are nearly over ... and that is fact. Too bad too, because it is due purely to nonpartisan political excess
Is it a fact? Will need sources to back that up.
And do you honestly believe that it’ll be Bitcoin that saves the US after the dollar crashes?

If I had a nickel for every time I've heard such a bold proclamation .... bitcoin is just another asset class ...and a highly speculative, volatile one at that. That's all it should mean to a savvy investor.
Do you know how many retail investors I've seen get crushed over the past 48 years because of such irrational exuberance? A helluva lot, including me. It was a six-figure lesson for me at the height of the dot com bubble. But it was a lesson I utilize each day as an investor ...
And we're in a significantly larger bubble right now ... today.
It's a time be humble, take profits, diversify and stash ... for the rainy day.
Just my dos centavos, friend.
