FTR, I want to say that Hubbabubba was right. My remarks about "Wild Thang," PoS that he is, were out of line.

Oh wow. I am so sorry. I know it is a rough time I buried both my parents already. I am numb from it but well remember the pain of the only person(s) that truly loved you unconditionally being gone. It's indeed rough.

I was in L.A. the evening of the 4th. Got the call to come ASAP. Changed my plans, caught the last flight out, flew home and arrived at 2:00am, rented a car at the airport and drove 3 hours to get there. He stayed with us three more days but passed on Monday around 2:00am with me holding his arm. We're great now. Dad was an honest to God Christian, not a good church-goer. Based on faith, his death is a positive. 
As for the other, my wife, while I was in L.A. reached out to the wife of her deceased son, and they talked for hours and she shared photos with my wife. Gave her a great comfort and closure.
Between my head-on wreck that totaled both cars, my uncle passing on Christmas week, my wife's son passing and my dad's passing, I am ready for a break.
