#3 The primary outcome is viral clearance and remission of fever. To a clinician, we don’t care about either of these two. A primary endpoint of mortality needs to be the focus for hospitals and doctors to start recommending it.
Like 99.783% if you’re under 50, unvaxxed and don’t do diddly poo other than therapeutics?

I simply said that based upon that study that was posted, I would not recommend based upon my analysis of the study. Doctors misread and misinterpret studies all the time. In fact, drug companies send people out to bad doctors all the time in hopes they are either too gullible or too ignorant to know how to read medical literature so they can get them to prescribe a medicine their patients don’t need.
So what do you prescribe to your covid patients?

I had this talk with our young veterinarian and his reaction was, you can buy a big old bottle of ivermectin for cheap. Also not that his brother, an MD, was telling him about doing some new things that DVM;s have been doing for years.

Three lines of defense:
1. Vaccine (we are in need of a longer-lasting dose + a dose on a sugar cube for those apprehensive of needles (no shaming intended - seriously));
2. Public health measures (ventilation for indoor spaces, masks during local/regional outbreaks, distancing (when outbreaks occur); contact tracing to inconvenience as few as possible), . . .
3. More treatment options for those who acquire COVID, including treatments such as ivermectin, as long as there is science justifying its use.
When someone is heading towards a ventilator and wants the kitchen sink thrown at the infection, whatever might possibly save a life is worth considering.

This is why you don't use the appeal to (unqualified) authority fallacy. Just because someone with credentials says something doesn't mean it's true.
But isn't this true of the India study as well?
Vaccinated. But I'd take it.

I lost lots of respect for some medical professionals concerning covid.
I don’t understand how they can shun a drug that is Proven effective if taken early and is safe, based on a long history of use in other countries. Why are they being so stubborn? Apparently they would rather let people suffer and die than give this drug a try. I just don’t get it.

So nothing. Not even dayquil? There's literally nothing you would prescribe a covid out-patient?
No wonder they are hitting up the feed store.

Any objective competent doctor would say "the jury is still out on ivermectin, some studies say it works, some studies say it doesn't. In the meantime, here's a prescription for ____________ (fill in the blank)"
What's in the blank, doctors of the board?
Are you getting the point now?

Oh ok, just acting like one. I appreciate your honesty. I don't appreciate your dishonesty.

You could've just said that he wouldn't.
You also could've said there's nothing precluding anyone from getting it before they go buy horse paste.

Obamacare killed private practice and now doctors are pretty much owned by their hospital/medical groups. They're no longer capable of speaking against the system.

Stay out of this for now please... I got a fish on the line.

20 minutes and Dr JayWhite still doesn't have an answer.
No wonder people are looking for answer at the feed store.
