No. Colorado was going to shite way before weed. Weed may have acted as last straw.

A weapon is a tool. Until we address the personal use of that tool, we will never address the root cause of assaults. Blaming/banning an inanimate object is both lazy and incompetent. Prohibition only works to tie the hands of law abiding citizens. Criminals won't/don't follow laws.
