As another poster pointed out above, you are missing the actual issue. He had sexual relations with his subordinate. Someone who could feel pressured of possibly losing her job if she did not agree to his advances. If he was messing around with just some random acquaintance then you have a point but that is not what happened.

The lying under oath part is not “chickenshit” when you understand he was not merely lying about cheating on his wife but covering up the fact he was having relations with a subordinate (pretty sure Hillary knows about Bill). I’m not sure of the legal ramifications but the ramifications of a govt employee doing that are extremely severe and could lead to termination (well it would for a regular person working in the govt).

You missed my point....lying to Congress (perjury) is a crime PERIOD!!! The chickenshit part was the lie, not to who he lied to. He had to know the truth was coming out so just tell Hillary you're chasing young pussy and be done with it.....that's the chickenshit part.

Trump has nothing to apologize for.

The president should absolutely investigate corruption especially when it appears to have happened at the highest levels within our nations leadership. And partnering with an ally to root out the corruption should be applauded, not apologized for.

I feel like the R’s have missed on the narrative. No apology is needed because nothing wrong was done. Biden is corrupt. And was doing extremely corrupt things, using his office of VP to funnel dirty money into his family’s pockets. And now he’s running for POTUS. It should be seen as a responsibility of our government to investigate that to the fullest.

You’re missing it. Govt employees (at least regular ones) CANNOT have sexual relations with subordinates. If you do then you are subject to discipline up to termination. I assume the most powerful govt official is subject to the same standards (or at least should be). That was definitely a factor in why he lied. Covering up that is not chickenshit.

The rule is not just in place to protect the subordinate from undue pressure but to protect the other employees from preferential treatment.

Please add in that he got the blowie from an intern. One of his subordinates who may have felt pressured to “please” him. People always gloss over this fact like it’s not important. He didn’t just have sexual relations with some person, it was someone he had a position of power over in the White House.

In the non-government world this would open you up to one hell of a lawsuit and CEOs/managers have been fired over it. Politicians should be held to a higher standard since THEY WORK FOR US and any lawsuit would come out of taxpayer money (see Congressional slush fund for sexual harassment suits).

Congress is full of skirt chasers who would not be able to hold a job outside of DC due to their antics, but we (their bosses) just shake our heads and wag our fingers. DC doesn't give a shite because, really, we are just peons and unwashed masses.

Dude whatever. You keep talking like this was a simple affair and the facts are that it was not. If a supervisor of a bunch of park rangers in a national park got caught doing this with one of his subordinates and lied about it then he would be severely disciplined if not fired as per govt rules on the situation. I guess you’re ok with the most powerful govt official being held to a lower standard.

Whether you agree or not, what he did was a big deal.

Between him and Killary. Was it wrong, absolutely. Should have just admitted that he did it.
