Willing to bet it is far less than .5% of prison population.

Anyone living who is serving a sentence for marijuana only... should be released immediately. If a firearm/Weapon was present or bodily harm was caused as a result of crime... each case will be reviewed individually. Pocket knives/obvious objects excluded.

Hard to find a painter who even has a DL, much less w no criminal record. Basically every market pays between 13-20/hr. What you want, some 75k+ career opportunities?

Anyone in jail for a non-distribution type drug charge

No one is still in jail for non-distribution. Distributors of weed should be freed as well. I don't care if a guy had 2 lb or 50 lb. Absolutely ridiculous that someone will be in jail for that. Now if you want to find them for earning all that money and not paying taxes on it then go ahead but in most of these cases these guys have had their money and things taken already.

Another reason why this intrigues me now is because the economy is doing as well as it is, it could handle, and actually needs, an influx of workers... and we might as well release nonviolent criminals to do this needed work, rather than import cheap labor on work visas
