There appears to be a pretty sizable difference in the proficiency of the old Soviet spy operations to that of the Chinese spy tactics we’re dealing with today. Very sloppy.

ignoring the military component for a moment, even the FAA has rules about flying drones in restricted airspace. Someone has to police it. Apparently no one did in this instance.
I have a part 107 FAA license. With it I can request limited access to fly my UAV over restricted airspace. You use to have to go through air traffic control directly now it’s a simple request from the app
If I do enter restricted space unauthorized they would ground my drone until I contact air traffic control and then likely face temporary Part 107 restrictions due to my infraction

Part of the fun is pointing and laughing when certain people are proven wrong though.

This all applies to drones that are registered and have the control system active

We’d see a lot fewer of his posts if people didn’t taunt him or even bring him up in threads. It’s like putting up a bat signal or saying his name 3 times in the mirror. Just don’t bring him up and he has less to respond to and derail the thread.
