Ok. The classic is good versus evil crap that you keep spewing all over the place. Garbage, man. Use your intellect for something positive or something that actually makes an impact instead of littering message boards with your bullshite

Lot's of experts on Satan sounding off in here...

I am not an expert on Satanism, but I have read peripherally about what some folks believe (Satanists, Luciferians, Gnostics, etc). I realize that it is more complex than the superficial imagery that each movement conjures up...

What I take issue with is that you have many deceitful characters that you come across when you dig into these folks/organizations (and who these folks are connected to...). Examples:

quote:

Born in 1946, Michael Aquino was a military intelligence officer specialising in psychological warfare.[12] In 1969 he joined Anton LaVey's Church of Satan and rose rapidly through the group's ranks.[13] In 1970, while he was serving with the U.S. military during the Vietnam War, Aquino was stationed in B?n Cát in South Vietnam when he authored a tract entitled "Diabolicon" in which he reflected upon his growing divergence from the Church of Satan's doctrines.[14] In this tract, teachings about the creation of the world, God, and humanity are presented, as is the dualistic idea that Satan complements God.[15] The character of Lucifer is presented as bringing insight to human society,[16] a perspective that was inherited from the depiction of Lucifer in John Milton's seventeenth-century epic poem Paradise Lost.[17]

A high ranking military official who specializes in psyops starts his own religion...

quote:

Hubbard's life underwent a turbulent period immediately after the war. According to his own account, he "was abandoned by family and friends as a supposedly hopeless cripple and a probable burden upon them for the rest of my days".[128] His daughter Katherine presented a rather different version: his wife had refused to uproot their children from their home in Bremerton, Washington, to join him in California. Their marriage was by now in terminal difficulties and he chose to stay in California.[129]

In August 1945 Hubbard moved into the Pasadena mansion of John "Jack" Whiteside Parsons. A leading rocket propulsion researcher at the California Institute of Technology and a founder of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Parsons led a double life as an avid occultist and Thelemite, follower of the English ceremonial magician Aleister Crowley and leader of a lodge of Crowley's magical order, Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO).[18][130] He let rooms in the house only to tenants who he specified should be "atheists and those of a Bohemian disposition".[131]

Hubbard befriended Parsons and soon became sexually involved with Parsons's 21-year-old girlfriend, Sara "Betty" Northrup.[132] Despite this Parsons was very impressed with Hubbard and reported to Crowley:

[Hubbard] is a gentleman; he has red hair, green eyes, is honest and intelligent, and we have become great friends. He moved in with me about two months ago, and although Betty and I are still friendly, she has transferred her sexual affection to Ron. Although he has no formal training in Magick, he has an extraordinary amount of experience and understanding in the field. From some of his experiences I deduced that he is in direct touch with some higher intelligence, possibly his Guardian Angel. He describes his Angel as a beautiful winged woman with red hair whom he calls the Empress and who has guided him through his life and saved him many times. He is the most Thelemic person I have ever met and is in complete accord with our own principles.[133]

Hubbard, whom Parsons referred to in writing as "Frater H",[134] became an enthusiastic collaborator in the Pasadena OTO. The two men collaborated on the "Babalon Working", a sex magic ritual intended to summon an incarnation of Babalon, the supreme Thelemite Goddess. It was undertaken over several nights in February and March 1946 in order to summon an "elemental" who would participate in further sex magic.[135]

The letter shows that Hubbard worked in Naval intelligence and was assigned to the South Pacific in 1941 until 1942.

Then they aren't really atheists if that's what they are calling themselves, just anti-christian.

A point. You find lots of loose connections and put them together and you can make them mean whatever you want. Or many times in your case, you find stronger connections but no actual intent of any kind.

You are one step better than all those people on YouTube that watch Beyonce videos looking for the satanic symbols and making up numbers games. All of those numbers supposedly show you the satanic connection to different important dates and birthdays blah blah blah. None of that s*** would have any power even if it was true if anybody didn't give them that.

If anything the "dark arts" are really just people taking ordinary things and Conjuring them up out of nowhere in order to scare people.

The Church of Satan is certainly nothing I give a s*** about but as per usual you and many others on this board are talking about something you have no fricking clue what you're talking about.

It's hilarious. But I'm lazy. Plus.. it's easy enough to make theists look like tards on here

So if it's easy to make theist look like tards (not disagreeing), why go through the effort of picking civilization's most ill regarded adversary (even if fictional) and build an entire society around it, using those symbols related to it?

Wouldn't that be rude and distasteful?
