Not unless he was under oath and they could prove it. As for what he said, ya know he may really believe that's what he saw.

Uhm, trackfan, you are kidding, right?
I wouldn't put the Black Panthers or the Tea Party in the same group with the KKK. But back to my earlier question, what did the Black Panthers burn down?

I stand corrected. Fuhrman was indicted and plead no contest to avoid jail time.
quote:
One year after his disputed testimony about racial slurs helped a jury acquit O.J. Simpson, retired police Detective Mark Fuhrman was indicted Wednesday on charges that he committed perjury when he said he hadn't uttered a racial epithet in the previous decade.
But Fuhrman, the detective who reported finding a bloody glove at Simpson's estate and whose racist past became a focal point in the nine month criminal trial, reached a settlement with the California attorney general allowing him to avoid a possible four-year prison term.
Under the agreement, Fuhrman pleaded no contest to perjury and was sentenced to three years of probation. He also was fined $200.
"It is important to understand that, as a result of these charges, this plea and this sentence, Mark Fuhrman is now a convicted felon and will forever be branded a liar," said California Atty. Gen. Dan Lungren.
"By pleading to a felony, Mr. Fuhrman will never be a police officer in the State of California again," Lungren added. "He is also now the ultimate impeachable witness--a convicted perjurer."

I knew that he had perjured himself, but I had forgotten about the rest. Here's the video link to the testimony that got him in trouble:

No problem. Thanks for the update on it.
Fuhrman fricked up and should have been indicted and held accountable. Which is how I feel about Brown's friend according to how things appear at this particular moment.

Need to let the media do their damn job right now and report.

It is a federal crime to lie to the FBI, and you don't have to be under any oath.

if you indict Brown's friend you'll never have another witness give a statement ever again.
Hey man circumstances be damned, get it exactly right or go to jail.
Never. Gonna. Happen.

How exactly does it help your thesis that nobody is ever prosecuted when Furman was in fact indicted and copped a plea?
Thanks for adding another high profile case to my list of people busted for lying.

Didn't I lead my post with "I stand corrected"? What else do you want me to do?

Sit corrected.
In the corner.

In the corner.

Some kind of an obstruction charge might could apply. Is this the one that was at the convenience store at the time of the cigar heist?

If you want to pour gasoline on the fire, indict Johnson and don't indict Wilson.

Looking pretty damn likely now the friend lied to try and get an essentially innocent cop doing his job arrested for murder.
I want this followed up on and the dude prosecuted if he did in fact provide false and misleading statements in a homicide investigation.
Justice fellas. It is what the people in Ferguson want and deserve
