Hmm...Gavin must be trying to save someone from getting cooked.

Or

There's someone going to get the hammer and he's cutting off the option for the jury at the pass.

This is so random, it can't possibly be random.

They haven't executed anyone in nearly two decades. How would anyone know the difference?

And this isn't a racial thing; the person executed for a fatal arson case was a white man from Corsicana.

The man who was more worried about his truck catching on fire than his children inside. And who told investigators several different accounts of what happened.

Born of course. Unborn have to avoid the gauntlet.

The action suspends any further executions in California as long as Newsom is governor, his office said. But only California voters can repeal the death penalty, something they rejected narrowly three years ago.

I'm against the death penalty as well. I believe those convicted of killing with malicious intent and forethought should be sentenced to hard labor 12 hours per day, seven days per week, making sand out of boulders. Solitary confinement for the duration. Feed them bread and water. Make the punishment worse than death.

I say we go opposite ways—have public executions—let the rapists and murderers see what happens to them.

I dont trust their ability to correctly spend taxes collected, run or regulate schools, and maintain roads. Why should I trust them to have the power to build a process which allows them to put citizens to death?
