The initial report said he did not identify himself as a Senator until he was being taken out of the room, He was also not wearing his Senate security pen. It was the Secret Service who took him down & subsequently removed him from the room.

A United States Senator , supposedly one of the top 100 best and brightest making laws for the other 300 million of us doesn't know how to get into a meeting. No wonder we're where we are.
