This is a matter of degrees. On that sliding scale, the contesting positions are both correct and incorrect at the same time. IMHO, there's no "Absolute Truth" on this issue.

Good stuff right there. There was a legitimate disagreement WRT the extent to which the New Iraq should be "De-Baath-ized". Perhaps Iraq was De-Baathized so thoroughly that New Iraq was too unstable from inception.
