Reminds me of something similar I’ve heard before…
One state decided to go fully electronic and stop printing and accepting paper from taxpayers for sales tax to cut costs.
They ended up having to do small batches of paper returns after all and still scan those because it was Pennsylvania and they forgot they have a huge fricking Amish population which sells a lot of crafts.
