I've thought for years this was all intentional. Even Biden is not this incompetent. They don't WANT the border secured but Republicans in Congress are too afraid to say it out loud. The Republicans want to pretend the Dems are just incompetent and I am sick of it.

I would say it's dangerous but not unprecedented. During the Civil War, many newly arrived Irish were greeted at the docks to,"Welcome to your new country" they then were also encouraged by union soldiers to "now, fight for your new country."
