Meh, a non-story that folks will put different spins on depending on their particular political view. Some will babble that the non-whites are having kids like crazy, others will say superior sex education is saving the day.

All of which is as so much fart gas. Its just simple biology at work here folks. When you are poor and the chances of your children reaching adulthood suck you have more of them in hopes one will make it. When you are rich (by global standards we're quite well to do) you have less children so you can devote more time and resources to the ones you do have to ensure they have a better future.

I know quite a few non-white Hispanic families that are middle class and they are having 1-3 children just like their lily white neighbors.

It takes a generation or two for it to settle in that you don't need to have a small army of children. Once that happens the birth rate plummets and you see that have fewer children but devote more time and resources to each one selection kick in.
