I tend to agree, but they got their promise on a DACA vote. If that doesn't happen in 3 weeks, then McConnell will have some explaining to do on the next shutdown
That isn't what was agreed to, though. McConnell said he would bring immigration to the floor for debate and offer a fair amendment process. There is no obligation to have a vote if the senate cannot produce a bill from that process that is satisfactory.

Schumer said on the Senate floor early Monday afternoon. “The Republican majority now has 17 days to prevent the DREAMers from being deported.”
Then prepare for shutdown #2 in three weeks, because the above is what Schumer said

Schumer is such a putz. DACA <> so-called dreamers.

I hope to be wrong, but this is what I see happening.
Democrats are going to play to their base and ignore the rest of the sane Democrats.
Republicans are going to watch the wrong news channels and be convinced the Democrats are right.
I want to be wrong, but when thinking about Senate Republicans Q phrases it best - These people are stupid.

The bottom line is this should lead to delaying their legal voting status by at least 10-15 years ... which is a major major victory.
The key word here is LEGAL. Everyone knows that word
doesn't mean anything to a Democrat

You're right. I guess I just assumed that since it's the only proposal that the Senate has brought forward. It had 56 Senators committed to voting in favor of it before Trump said he wouldn't sign it.
Graham_Durbin was well to the left of what got 56 votes. And miles left of what the House first passed.
