Yeah, bullshite. I bet if you told him he dropped a 20 dollar bill, he'd look at the ground.
I used to pull that "no speakee engrish" line at the mall, when the pollsters were around at the mall when I was a teen.

Got a royal bitch as a customer service rep, so he hung up, called back, and hit 2 for Spanish

I am pretty sure they can come up with some bi-lingual reporters for this guy.

100% chance that fricker speaks English better than most of the people who live in inner cities.
If those reporters were asking questions only in spanish his lawyer would've claimed he doesn't speak Spanish. The only thing that matters to them is to avoid talking to anyone in the public until they can get their stories straight.
