I just don’t understand how something like this is done. I can barely keep cutting a straight line on my yard and not miss too much grass

Exactly. The second 2 in 2020 is a little off kilter, but otherwise it looks like it was perfectly cut.
ETA: Buddy of mine told me how it was likely done.
He marked the top and bottom of where he wanted the letters, then the letters were marked with paint or something, then he just mowed over it.

I can only imagine the screeching and outrage of a man being able to do what ever he wants to do on his own property. I'm sure that the squad would want to put some laws into place to limit the freedoms of land owners.
