It’s not that I refuse to get one... it’s just that more times than not it’s useless. Last years vaccine might as well have been pure saline solution. They missed it. It was useless against the dominant strain.

If it’s determined that the emerging flu is a match for the vaccine.. I’ll run down and get it. If it’s another swing and a miss.. I’ll pass. It always makes me feel like crap for a day due the immune system going apeshite.

I thoroughly wash my hands about 20 or 30 times a day during flu season. If everyone did that, it would be wholly more effective that a vaccine for an incorrect or mutated strain. I’ve had the flu three times In my life while working jobs that bring me in frequent contact with the public. Scrubbing your hands by frequently washing them and keeping your hands away from your face is very effective. If you get it then it was because you were unlucky enough to catch one airborne.
