The Lord came through “Israel” the first time, and will do so the 2nd time. Regardless the claim that Israel isn’t the same as it used to be(nothing is), the key is that it simply exist. Therefore if Satan can maneuver his pawns into destroying Israel, then that makes god a liar, thus a defeated god.

Do you have any scripture or links to provide some context?

Not really. Acts 1:11 speaks on Jesus' return as does Revelation 19:11-16

11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He [a]had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in [b]fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a [c]sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Fun Fact: The muslims have established a cemetary at the gate that Jesus is expected to return and enter through, because they know no good jew would defile himself and be unclean by walking through a cemetary. Serious irony here.

All nations will turn against Israel and prepare to attack when Jesus will come back and destroy their enemies. But that's after the anti-christ has taken control of the world.

As you can see the tide has turned against Israel the world is steadily becoming an evil place.

I think it's interesting because it means they believed Jesus was returning. I don't know that Israel being wiped off the map means God failed any more than Adam's fall means God failed.

I do think we are in Ezekiel 37 right now. I don't think Israel will lose, but will be invaded by Turkey and on the ropes. That's when the prince from the east comes in and sets up the covenant and rebuilds the temple. We may be seeing that set up right now.

Or maybe not.

The temple will be re-built. It is coming. Maybe soon, maybe in 10-20 years but it will happen. That will be your biggest and most obvious marker to know that your time to accept Jesus as your Lord and Redeemer is short.

I love the religious nut job threads about Israel.

Personally, I think the Bible is talking about Israel Idonije, the former NFL player for the Cleveland Browns.

Is Israel in any immediate danger of being destroyed? They have an elite American armed military. They could take on all the Arab countries alone and win and they wouldn’t be alone and are currently fighting Hamas and Hezbollah who are awful but nothing like an existential threat.

In general with all end times prophesies, Jesus said not even the angels in heaven know the day or the hour but only the Father, and yet we’ve had two thousand years of people predicting a week from Tuesday

Are you talking about the peace covenant that starts the 7 year tribulation?

What if I told you that the nation of Israel circa 2023 is just a nation that was formed in 1948 and has no relation to the biblical Israel.

The church is now Israel.

But everything else you said is true.

This is not correct and God would be a liar if Israel was not restored physically.

Israel has been restored physically - just not as a modern nation.

Until 100 years ago, every Christian on earth believed this. The Scofield bible is going to get us all killed.

It is amazing to me. For almost 2000 years, Christians would have looked at that belief and thought it was crazy, but these people are absolutely convinced that the modern day country of Israel is somehow part of God's plan.

There are exactly zero doctrines that everyone claiming to be a Christian everywhere believed. Also, look at Ezekiel 37: Dry, dusty, dead bones. God restores them piece by piece and finally breathes his spirit into them. It's going to happen.
