And now, a message from DNI (absolutely, positively not DEI)... Tulsi Gabbard.

Kicking off the 250 celebration.

Trigger warning for this boards liberals...

A lot of God in this message. If scared, "move along, these aren't the United States you are looking for."

He delivered these following remarks on January 2, 2016, during a speech about religion and the Constitution at Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, Louisiana. During his speech, he noted that the United States has historically invoked the Deity in public life—such as in presidential addresses and Thanksgiving proclamations—and criticized efforts to mandate strict secularism, like France's laïcité.
quote:

"God has been very good to us. That we won the Revolution was extraordinary. The Battle of Midway ... was extraordinary". He argued that "..America was blessed (in part) because its people have always honored God"-- Justice Antonin Scalia

He would be called home one month later.

quote:

"My faith took on new meaning on July 13th... where I was knocked to the ground, essentially by what seemed like a supernatural hand, and I would like to think that God saved me for a purpose". He has reiterated this sentiment, adding that God spared him "to restore our beloved Republic to greatness and to rescue our Nation from those who seek its ruin"

Very cool. Years ago, I heard Chief Justice Rehnquist speak at the ABA Convention in New Orleans. He joked that he told his wife, Louisiana was a civil law state and credit cards were not accepted.

Is Scalia the fella they found, with a pillow over his face, in his bed at the ranch of a CIA connected Texan?

Yeah. I probably could have written "he was 'sent' home"
