Why don't you do what I did? Get off TD poliboard for 5 seconds to your nearest science center or natural history museum and ask someone who studies this and knows how to answer your little gotcha questions.
What makes you think I haven't done that? Here's a shocker, they can't answer those questions either.

What Rich ppl? Oil is where the money is. .
A physical product on the market is not necessarily "where the money is".
In the oil industry there are great expenses with no guaranteed return. In the structure of the "climate change industrial complex", the talking heads, researchers, the publications, all funded by taxpayers and private contributions, is actually where all the secured money (for those involved) is. No risky expenditure other than generating "studies" and talking seminars, and people charging huge money for speaking fees, etc.
Nice work if you can get it.

You, apparently already have. At least I assume you have at least that to base your conclusions on?
So how did they answer those questions?

Well who did you talk to? Because the one in London had a few guys standing there answering all sorts of questions.

More precip is a sign of global warming
i don't think that shite is man made though. just a cyclical earth event

When people wear willful ignorance as a flag, all we can do is hope that they cannot reproduce.

Temperature will go up and down. We don't need a thread every time it gets hot or cold to prove or disprove a very credible theory. I only see one side doing that around here though. Or maybe it's just this chiz guy. I think he had the snowing in Hawaii one.

I gotta speak to your guy in London to get the answers I seek?
Ok, I'll buy a plane ticket, but if you move the goalposts one more fricking time.............

But if you want to just look at the latest and most accurate view of the changing climate...
A "view" is not data or science. "Most accurate" is a subjective opinion. That also has nothing to do with scientific methodology.
Don't you agree?

I think they'll share the same views as anyone here. I asked where you went to ask your questions. Did they stare at you blankly? I feel like you can at least be honest?

I hate winter. Went to our corporate office in San Jose this week and I want to move there. Except for Thursday, it has been a beautiful week.
Pittsburgh winters are miserable. When it's not snowing, it is still overcast and cold.

Climate isn't temperature. It's not "temperature change" there's no standard there. Stop being angry.
Then why is higher temperatures the first thing brought up by those arguing in favor of climate change?

Do I really need to go use perfect words to get that point across or do you kinda see where it was going. (Assuming no one is assuming the data is fudged)..... The latest MODELS support the theory that fossil fuels in the atmosphere are creating a greenhouse effect causing the climate on earth to heat faster than it has before in our cycles. I cannot make it more simple than that. It's a theory. Greenhouses work on small scales and we're assuming it's the same on a big scale.

I went to the science museum of Virginia, I've been there several times actually.

Yes, a brief pause followed by a slight frown, and then a deflection. I don't recall the lady's name, she wasn't important enough to remember.

I can, can you?

I agree. So what is the metric that the AGW theory advocates base it's theory on? What is the time line metric and temperature variation that put the present conditions outside the framework of cyclical variation?

They bring up yearly and monthly averages. I've not ever seen someone say look it's hot today global warming is real. You have to use data and need time for the data.
I have however seen one side more than the other use snowballs and cold weather to disprove it.
