My take on the Epstein matter is that many amongst us initially created vastly unrealistic and unreasonable expectations that would never be met even if every last syllable of the Epstein investigation was released in whole. It’s just the unfortunate level of cynicism and disbelief that’s been fomented amongst those who follow politics and have interest in things connected with it. Which incidentally isn’t every single voter. And I’m not saying it isn’t justified, because it certainly is to a large degree. But there’s also an aspect of it wherein some amongst us have not practiced rational thinking and reasoning, which each of us is responsible for ourselves insofar as going to every extent to be rational and reasonable.
Add to the more general thoughts above, the reality that not every crime or conspiracy or collusion comes with the best possible evidence or all the evidence and info and explanations that we would love to see. Finally, there is the irrefutable fact that every investigation has countless other potential complications, such as for instance a name being made public that lo and behold has no connection with any actual crime(s), yet through public demand is now public and the effort ended up being a loss for society and not a gain.
Bottom line, if one brainstorms a bit and makes a databank of possible complications and conflicting factors, then IMO the most reasonable conclusion should be “maybe I shouldn’t have made such definitively pessimistic and dark conclusions, because I don’t know a fraction of what needs to be known….and the investigators might not even have the same information themselves.”
You asked for it, you got it.

Real question is… are the Epstein files worth releasing if it hurts the US’s relationship with Israel? I for one, don’t to ruin our relationship and face wrath.

If the Israelis are as capable as they’d have to be to have such a wide ranging and complex operation, having kept something like that under wraps for this long, how likely is it that they’d have left behind them any of the kind of evidence to which you’re referring? On the one hand, they operated this sophisticated and successful blackmail operation without being able to be stopped by ours or any other international intelligence agency, then on the other hand they slipped up and left some “files” of evidence and information that would lay out the whole thing for us to understand?
Again, IMO it all comes down to expectations from the get go, and unfortunately I believe many, many folks allowed their expectations to go out of control.

You bet, my friend. I have to admit, I have a bit of insight into how investigations work and the potential for and kinds of problems one can run into, which can influence the course and scope of the entire matter in ways that are too numerous to quantify. I have no choice but to be more reserved in my expectations and speculations, because I’ve seen way, way too many times what appeared to be a pretty straightforward situation wind up being something unrecognizable once all was said and done.
