Plea deals in more than 30 cases.
NOT Woke?
Good for her. I'll bet she's still a Democrat. You recall all of the lefty's wanting to be soft on crime.
Good for her.
Jenkins told The Chronicle that her office is still taking immigration status into consideration, and would allow first-time offenders to plead to a felony that carries jail time but spares them from a deportation-eligible conviction.
For repeat offenders, prosecutors may decline to offer a plea designed to protect a defendant from deportation, Jenkins said. Officials on Wednesday said they did not know whether this applied to any of the defendants whose offers were revoked.
Jenkins said that sanctuary city policies like those in San Francisco, which prevent city officials from working with federal immigration agents, are meant to protect law-abiding people.
“What it’s not meant to protect is outright dangerous criminal behavior that people choose to chronically engage in,” she said. “We’re still going to be taking into account offerings that allow people to protect their immigration status, but we’re not going to be abused.”
So, breaking the law by being here is not a crime? Then committing a crime, is still not enough to deport them?
Alas, Still WOKE.

San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins is pulling back more than 30 plea offers she deemed too lenient for defendants accused of selling fentanyl, marking the most concrete rebuke to date of her office’s previous practices under Chesa Boudin.
quote:
“On my watch, the D.A.’s office is going to take these cases seriously,” Jenkins said in an interview. “We are dealing with a public health crisis with regards to fentanyl, and no longer are we going to be giving a free pass to people who sell (that) drug in San Francisco.”

According to a spokesperson for Jenkins, all of the initial plea offers that are now revoked would have allowed the defendant to plea down a felony drug-dealing charge to a misdemeanor offense. Instead, these defendants will either plead guilty to a new offer — a felony charge — or take the case to trial.

So illegals selling fentanyl only get a felony and not deported. Seems fair
