Academia crossing into parental duties

My wife’s coworker who (1st generation immigrant) has a daughter going to college. On 1/20 her professor turned on the live stream of the inauguration instead of teaching on the subject he was hired to do. While the stream was on, he would bash Trump’s policies, spewing leftist beliefs, BLM.
The daughter went home and told her mom. Mom told her not to listen to any of that. I got to thinking about how many students told their parents about it? It sucks how academia are controlling young people how to live, think, act. Even if a student is aware and disagree, who in his right mind would speak up in today’s environment?

They've made going to college "affordable" so "everyone can attend" through student loans.

The daughter should have complained to the department chair and Dean if the speech was not relevant to the course.

This isn't anything new. My wife will be 50 this year and I'm still working on fixing some of the bullshite she was taught in college.
College is the reason conservatives won't fight back, they were brainwashed into believing that violence solves nothing by the very people that they now "disagree" with.
