Exactly. If it needs government funding, it isn't a charity.

If this was truly about the work, they would not pay themselves that amount and be CHARITABLE!

I’m honestly surprised that it’s shocking to see govt supplementing a non profit food bank. Not commenting on this specific story but just that element itself being called out.

my sister ran one of the largest food banks in indiana for years when she retired they even named the building after her, she never sniffed 100k per year.

those numbers look absurd.
