This one is particularly thorny.
Oh I know. It took me months to weigh in and you were one that I knew would come down hard. Wasn’t prepared for “commie” “you are destroying our country” “you f-ed up kids during COVID” or “rino” lol.
Especially as someone who had an unplanned pregnancy, chose life and did all I could to make his life great. My delivery must have been too flawed

My husband did it too. I went with him and made fun of him because of how easy it was. Frozen peas for two days!

Society is going to shite. We all agree. Pumping more unwanted kids into an overloaded system with parents having no consequences for neglecting or abusing kids has got to end
Agree. Stop monetizing it

By the end of the day he was one suffering puppy. I asked him what was wrong, and he told me.
I told him he was a moron and to go home and put some frozen peas on them. Told him not to come back for a week.
He didn’t, they swelled up like basketballs I was told. I was fine with him suffering, he already had 3 kids by 3 different women.

Thnk you
if i may share a little bit more, And this is a very personal subject but it's a message board which makes a very personal conversation difficult
A lot of times women who consider themselves pro choice think that abortion is not an issue for men to have an opinion on because men can't get pregnant I understand that biological fact and I'm not disputing it and I recognize that as the one that's carrying the child the term it comes with a very different set of nuances for the woman than it does the men
But please in all respect let me say this it is a human life
I understand on a message board where possibly drunk retarded people can be very disrespectful and the opinions on here are not well thought out or well-founded I even address that in my initial post in my thread
But if I and others believe that clump of cells as we are sometimes referred to is a HUMAN life, a baby. Then we should be emotional about it,
I'm not asking you to agree I'm not even asking you to respond I realize as I said that you and I are right now having an extremely personal conversation in front of a shite ton of people who are assholes who are stupid assholes
but I shared my story not to win a debate but to give birth to thought and reflection
as The actual result of a rape and THE reason a poor woman went through the pain that she went through. I understand in ways even a woman cannot
its an enigma, at one time a personal decision and at the same time someone else is paying the price
and for me, I understand that someone else paid the price for my life with deep personal pain
there is a respect that cannot be denied
Thank you for your time

I know emotion is looked down on here, but I’ll say that your post brought me to tears.
I am so grateful to hear your story and glad that your mother chose to give you life!
Me posting here was something I thought long and hard about and decided to finally say something because I was so tired of seeing how callous people were being. I did it with my daughter in mind. Not realizing that people would go so far as to go after me, even though I was the pregnant woman they wish would choose life. I didn’t want to see them go after my kids too, which some will.
I have no idea what my daughter would choose if she was raped. The point of my post was to point out that she has built a life that was extremely hard and not many her age would do. She works, goes to school, and does her college athletics. She has not found a man who shares her values so she waits. To be forced upon would be traumatic mentally and take away her scholarship and she wouldn’t be able to do her job, which she completely supports herself now. I wanted to point out that people gloss over what would happen to her and what could we do to help her in that situation.
Could she be guaranteed her scholarship back the next year? If not, would anyone support rape victims getting the rest of her school paid for? What guarantees could she get, if any, to be able to pick back up where she left off in her career?
All I got was “ your daughter would be a murderer.”
“It’s no longer her body”
“It’s an inconvenience.”
Her life matters too and people are so callous, especially ones who will never ever have to make that choice.
In any case, I enjoy getting to know you and your story. It certainly makes me more sympathetic to your situation. Your mom is the bomb!
This makes this horrific bomb throwing thread worth it!

I am a Christian. I am not the best Christian. I drink, cuss, and enjoy playing bourré and poker (and dominos, which I learned from my very devout Southern Baptist grandmother because somehow dominos don’t count). I am a constant work in progress.
But I firmly believe the word of God that He creates and orders life. He forms babies in their mothers’ wombs, and it is the will of Jesus that all children should have a chance to follow Him.
The only exception for abortion allowable in my world view is if the mother’s life is at risk and the baby wouldn’t survive. This is all I have to say on the matter. I know that this is an extremely unpopular view. I accept my incoming downvotes.

No downvote here on a respectful post.

I know emotion is looked down on here
Unless it’s a manly emotion, like getting angry at women and demanding to repeal the 19th, and irrationally believing all women are their enemies. Those emotions and irrationality are ok.
(This will definitely get me some totally non-emotional downvotes for real. Whatever.)
