I have a severely autistic brother. I know way more than you about this subject. None of you guys understand it. Its been incredibly hard on my family. He's been a prisoner in his own body for his entire life. If my mom had had the option or had known that was going to happen before hand she could have spared him and our entire family.
Once you get past all of your emotional outrage you can start seeing it more clearly. Again, none of you understand. You just sit there from the sidelines and tell people to take care of a child that you'll never have to be responsible for. What you're defending is worse.
Those people you know it Down syndrome and their families already had it happen. Using them as an example is not very good one considering they can't do anything to change that now. But most of them if they had the opportunity wouldn't have done this to themselves and their child

Honest question. I know some from a distance, and recognize that it requires more care and dedication from the family. I am not aware of it requiring significant state support, though.

He has the assets to make sure his daughter is cared for properly for the rest of her life.
As for your argument, I guess in addition to killing all Downs kids, you suport going ahead and putting down anyone who’s given a Alzheimer’s diagnosis, right? Or better yet, by your logic, it’s best to not wait until they become a burden. Just kill anyone who comes from a group that has high instances of Alzheimer’s. But why stop there? Look at the burden places on society by people with diseases like cancer, diabetes, and a host of other diseases both acquired and genetic. Hell, let’s go ahead and get started building the camps, sealing up the gas chambers, and get those ovens roaring.
