I found this on a wundergound forum

quote:

Trump is a business man. He supports the open free market. He believes less regulation results in more competition and consumer choices. What the consumer buys reflects on what happens to the Country. What happens to the Country reflects on it's impact to the Earth. The decision must be left between the Corporations and the Consumers, NOT the Government! That's the whole Conservative Point in a nutshell. Our Government is not supposed to be the Climate Change World Police!

Instead of trying to lobby the Government, try lobbying the Corporations directly. Allow the Corporations to make their own environmental improvement decisions. We are in the age of Technocracy now. Most of the regulations created are haggled by the Corporations in the first place. Like, "Ok, we'll do that if you do this... blah blah". They know the deal, they've seen the data, they know what needs to be done, but they're not going to do it fast enough until the majority of consumers demand it. When the consumer demands it, then the free market adjusts appropriately for it. This is basic business 101 protocol. If the consumer makes detrimental decisions, then a detrimental impact occurs, BUT it is the free RIGHT of the consumer to make those detrimental decisions just as much as it's the opposing force's free right to make advantageous decisions.

A lot of you people think voting only occurs at the political polls. Sorry, but voting goes much further than that. When you make a purchase you're voting there too, especially when you purchase something more than once. You're telling the Corporation, "Hey! I like this product. Please make more of it." And if there's something about the product you don't like, or you think needs to be improved, then you can contact the Corporation and express your concerns. You can also load up bus loads of people and visit the Corporation's HQ, arrange tours, and have a FAQ session. The CEO's DO listen, you just have to prove how serious you really are about it.

Stop relying on government for babysitting your global ills. Stop relying on government for entitlements and direction. We live in a monetary-driven economy where Corporations are the ones running the show. You speak to them, not the President. Convince the Corporations you mean business and they will adopt regulations for other Corporations to follow so it will be easier to supply the consumers with what they demand, not the other way around like Obama was trying to do. You're not supposed to try to force American Business to increase it's expenses and do things they don't really have to do. What if it was YOUR business? Now think long and hard about the purchases you make. What are you purchasing so much that is causing a detrimental effect on our environment? Is there anything you can purchase or use differently in order to shift production to where it will support, or improve, your environment? Look in the mirror for a while, because the hypocrisy smells so loud I can smell it through the silicon information highway we are using right now! The real reason you hate Trump is because he is calling you out!
