It’s not defeatist to believe that current GOP strategy is very bad strategy.
The GOP absolutely can win the broader policy debate and has a lot of positives to sell the general public. They just choose not to in favor of pandering to those that are already voting Republican.
That is poor strategy, in my opinion.
