I’m confused. This board tells me the modern state of Israel has brainwashed evangelicals. So, who was doing the brainwashing in 1891??????

Buddy President Harrison died in office in 1841. Evangelicals as far as I know are not capable of time travel no matter what their Bible tells them.

ETA:

Unless you’re referring to Benjamin, but even then the dates are fishy.

Being confused is your operating state.

It is possible for both Dispensationalism to have risen naturally from Protestant Christian movements AND for Zionist Jews to use these beliefs as a means to influence modern politics in Christian-leaning nations.

Years later the Bolsheviks took over and killed over 62,000,000 people. The attack on Christians was unprecedented: Churches and monasteries were seized, closed, or destroyed by the tens of thousands; religious education was banned; and clergy were branded counter-revolutionaries. In the early years after 1917, dozens of bishops and over a thousand priests were executed, with thousands more killed during the 1922 campaign to confiscate church valuables. The repression intensified in the late 1920s and 1930s, culminating in the Great Terror, when remaining bishops, priests, monks, nuns, and active laypeople were mass-arrested, shot, or sent to the Gulag. By the end of the 1930s the institutional Church had been nearly annihilated, with only a few hundred churches still functioning out of the tens of thousands that had existed before the Revolution; overall, tens to well over a hundred thousand clergy and believers were repressed, imprisoned, or killed for their faith.

Probably going to happen again in some form or another, as the centuries unfold.

Christians will be Martyred.
