He could use them to protect Federal property, but how are they going to stop gangbangers from shooting each other? That happens over a wide area of certain 'hoods.

Outside of randomly shutting down a few blocks, and going door to door and arresting anyone with an outstanding warrant, or who is here illegally, and confiscating illegal guns (and arresting the holders), what can they do?

And while the left would sky-scream over that level of activity, I bet the law abiding citizens in those areas would welcome it. Man, if some people were shooting up other people in my neighborhood, and kids were getting caught in the crossfire, I'd welcome the police in to search door to door, I'd be praising the action, in order to bring some peace to my life.

I don't want much from my Government, but I do want them to keep my environment safe, and clean up the streets of bad guys.

I agree ...why is this a Federal issue?


It's an international black-eye but ultimately it's the state of IL and City of Chicago's problem. The Fed Gov can do the ..."withhold funds till you do what we want" game....i don't like that game though. I would rather have businesses and citizenry take care of their local issues. They voted for v the leaders that got them in such a massive hole financially ( which the Fed doesnt need to step in) and in physical safety. Chicago needs to not vote stupid...
