I've got a :CSB: for you guys and it has nothing to do with NCAA Football!!

Remember that xbox I bought a few weeks ago for 99 bucks at gamestop with MW2 for a 140 buck giftcard. well, they left my gift card frozen for the past 3 weeks with a 108 dollar balance. i tried to use it before and it wouldn't work. i believe i told you guys that story. well, i went into gamestop today to get my brother in law some HD cables for his 360. the salesman asks for my card. well, i accidentally pulled out the gift card instead of my edge card. well, i was too busy talking to the guy that i didn't realize him putting a receipt and the cables in a bag. i told him i hadn't paid for them yet and he said i paid with a gift card. well, i went through the story that it shouldn't work. so, i tell him to check me out a gamestop controller and NCAA 12 and if it works, i'll preorder a game from them. he runs the transaction and looks at me and say, "you owe us a preorder". i was shocked. so i got a free xbox or a free controller and game. however which way you want to look at it.

then the guy says i could bring my xbox in and return all the stuff i just got and get basically a free xbox 360 slim. now, i'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. do i want to risk getting my xbox to red ring with an extra game and controller or do i want to trade it all in for a new slim. what do you guys think?

ETA: the old 360s trade for 50 bucks right now. they have a deal that any console traded to a new console purchase, you get an extra 50 bucks. so that's 100 bucks right there. the same price as i paid for the old xbox.

it's the 4gb slim they're trying to sale me, btw.
