Here are a couple bucks I have taken. This first one I shot with my bow on the second day of the season back in '03 when I was in high school. He was still in full velvet, which is some sort of hormonal problem for them to be in Velvet into October in North Mississippi, but still really cool and lucky that he was. Only got a little scratch in the velvet from hitting a tree while going down.

This deer I took with my gun...

ETA: now I realize my pics are huge. Don't know how to change that. Anybody know how?

Holy shite that picture is full of awesomeness.

I'll post a pic of a pretty nice bass I caught when I was a youngun when I go home Thursday.

This is a good 5 pounder I caught last summer. Can't resize picture.

That second deer has some crazy antlers We had a guest at our old camp kill a deer in velvet during December. Really freaked everyone out.

Many times that is the case. It has something to do with one of the male hormones, probably testosterone. So if anything happens to their nuts, and they aren't producing enough testosterone, their body won't realize it's time to shed the velvet, at least that's what I've been told. Either way, it was cool to shoot a deer in velvet with my bow all the way down in MS

I used image shack. I'm new to posting my own pics so I really have no clue what I'm doing. I'll try to fix it...

Absolutely I was lucky enough to get one opening weekend a few years ago a non typical 14pt in velvet. I missed an 8pt at 35 yards got pissed and got out of the stand , retrieved my arrow looked up and he was standing at 20 yards looking the opposite direction . I drew back and it was all she wrote ran apout 75 yards . Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good

I'm never posting images again. I've tried all the things that people told me and can't get this to work. I'm definately not a computer guy, but can usually figure this stuff out. Oh well...

Look at the image info. You should be able to see what I did. Just add "width=400" after ".jpg"

I have a couple of friends who have those in their golf bags. They always catch big bass in those golf course ponds.

Thanks. I didn't notice the "crab claw" brow tines until after I shot it and walked up to it. They were the icing on the cake.
