It is so easy to change the water pump. Why don't you do it yourself?

Watch a couple videos. It is very easy to take one out and install a new one. If the videos look hard then get a mechanic to do it. Just warning you they will probably charge at least $750 to install a $75 part that will take them 30 min to do. Takes longer to take the lower unit off then it does to change the pump.

Hardest part is when the half moon key doesn't want to come out of the shaft. A little patience, heat, and tapping. When you install the new one put a little anti seize on it.

Cypress Cove in Slidell. Eric is the best Yamaha mechanic out there.
