Yahama Outboard Problem. Need Help

Yahama 250hp 4-stroke
- alarm sounds when turning ignition key
- oil levels are fine
- engine is not overheated
- engine will try to turn over but will not crank
We think it could be oil pump (oil pressure), water pump, or faulty sensor.
Does anyone have ideas as to what may be the cause of the problem?
This engine is 5 years old, has never failed to crank, and is kept in great condition. Might have to cancel trip tomorrow.
TIA for your help!!

Is your Kill switch attached?

Do you mean the engine spins slowly, but will not start.

you can hear the engine trying to turn over but it never gets there. The fuel lines look fine. We used it in Leeville a few weeks ago with zero issues.

Check your battery terminal and cables for corrosion. If your battery hasn't change in Three years it might be time to change it out.

That's usually poor connection or weak battery if the bendiz isn't engaging. Check battery and connections first, then put a charge, quit cranking until you do this, otherwise you'll ruin starter if you keep turning it for prolonged period.
