White roach I don’t remember who we sold the eggs to. That was my dads buddy job.

In the Venice area we used a small oil company’s helicopter and marked the nests then we went back with an airboat.

I can’t stand gator trapping but consider grabbing the eggs one of the more fun things I’ve done in my life.

I remember working the refuel outages at Waterford 3 in the late 80’s to the late 90’s, people raffling off dried and cleaned alligator heads on a $3 football pool, final score wins. $300 for a skull. They had more out of town workers than local people, so they didn’t have any problem getting 100 people to put up $3.

A buddy of mine owns a gator farm. Before swamp ppl, they would throw the meat out. Too much meat for little money wasn't worth the hassle. Now, after swamp people, he gets a check every month for $20,000+ for JUST the meat sales.
