I have the BAR in 30-06, that gun just screams BAMF. Shot it for a few years and then shelved it bc it was so pretty and I didn’t want it getting beat to hell on our hunts.

Bought the 300 mag abolt. Way too much gun. Put a boss on it and helped with recoil but the noise was deafening. The bolt would also temporarily seize up after a couple shots due to heat expansion I assume. Sent it back to browning, still have the problem. Shelved it, maybe I’ll go take it on an elk hunt one day.

Now I stick to my Rem 700 in 270 caliber. Tack driver easily up to 300, with the right optics. Probably will never choose anything other than that gun, my confidence and comfort with it is 10/10.
