Langston,
With the right combination, I bet you'll be able to find a gun that's both comforting and comfortable. There are a number of Crossbreed type holsters that should work for you. Although I don't own any Kydex or Kydex/leather holsters, there are a number of makers that have a good reputation. Some that come to mind are Crossbreed, Comp-Tac and White Hat. I prefer leather holsters. I've been very happy w/ my IWB leather holster from Woolfe Gun Leather, Side Guard Holsters and R. Grizzle Leather. All my holsters are tuckable. The LC9 should be very comfortable w/ a dual clip holster, but is light enough it might also work w/ a single clip holster. Most of my holsters are most comfortable worn about 4-4:30 (so that the body of the gun fills in the "hollow" spot in your buttocks). With any holster, it may take a while for you to get used to it.

I will get another once I start carrying. I hated to spend much on one before I actually carried and knew what I was looking for. Im not real skinny, but def not fat in any way. Im 196 and 6' but I wear a 32" waist so most of mine is upper body. Appreciate the recommendations and will def try one or two of the ones you mentioned.

DM Bullard dual carry. Wanted an all leather holster for my 1911. Have a supertuck for my XD and this makes the crossbreed feel like a cheap piece of junk. They are priced about the same too.

I meant to ask the same question. Every time I've bought a new holster, Bullard has been a finalist.
Man, there's just something about the feel, look and smell of a nice leather product that Kydex can't compare to.....
Glad to hear you like your Bullard holster.
