There is a silicon spray I use. The two boots in the picture are the same, the darker one was sprayed with the silicon repellant. I'd suggest using that, it's worked for me.

IIRC, those were the ones I had in 11.5 EE

I'll take them if you don't want them. The 11.5s were kind of big in EE. I have maybe 7 pairs of boots now, and 4 of then are ruint beyond repair. Those are three pairs of pull-ons and a pair of lace-ups.

I'm pretty rough on boots, but I take good care of them. Can't fix scuffed/torn leather though

RB, silicon is not the correct thing to be using with boots. It isn't good for the leather, and gets rid of all breathability. Try some of that Obenauf's with a hair dryer. Best stuff on the market

Boots n' More on Airline near Sherwood have a decent selection too. For my steel toes I go to the place in Gonzales across from Tanger.

That could be what dried out my stitching on the second pair causing it to break... But that can't be the excuse for the first pair. I'm hard on my boots but usually the soles wear out or the leather on the toe tears. It pisses me off that the stitching is what killed them both when the soles and toes outlasted them.

I work around a lot of chemicals so that may be part or it as we'll. lesson learned.

On mine, the leather usually gets cuts from briars where the front part bends, or it cracks. The last two pairs have had holes worn through them though.

Only had one set of soles replaced. The leather usually takes a crap before that
