Countless examples of deer being tough as nails.
Buddy videoed shooting a buck with a .45-70 in front of shoulder a little more than half way up the neck. Deer hits the ground like a rock. Buddy walks to within 10 yards. Deer gets up and sprints off.
Over the next 3 months he sends me pics of the deer with a bullet wounds on both sides. Deer never appears to miss a beat.
