I have a few buddies that killed monsters today, bound to be a bunch on here.

He got away because i was an idiot unable to take the safety off with one finger. Messed around too long and he gone

Not my deer but he ran from the Perdido WMA and dropped on my property so I loaded him up and went and found his hunter.

Awesome job. I’ll never understand hunters who claim a deer someone else shot.

It was a very large buck for the area. We see a lot of deer since my land is surrounded on three sides by the WMA but not a lot of them on public land get that big.

That is a great buck for that area…have you ever floated the canoe trail and camped on the sandbars?

Oh yeah many times. I grew up in Elberta at Pirates Cove so I'm pretty local.

My area in TN actually has a November rut. Nice to tag out before Thanksgiving. First rifle taken buck for me since 2015.

that’s awesome. i’m condo heading over there to try for woodcock and look for woodie’s in those oxbows. have you seen any historically?

No woodies but driving down 112 to IP the last week I saw 2 pheasants just standing by the road. Not the first time either. I think someone may be releasing pen raised birds in the area to hunt.
