Nothing you can do now. Once the spurweed forms the hardened sticker, you can kill the plant but the sticker remains until it decomposes months later. It's similar to trying to get rid of pinecones by killing the tree after the cones have dropped. Start combating spurweed in January.

Thanks for the advice. This is the first year I've ever cared about the yard. Our toddler was walking thru the grass n got stickers in her feet. Now I'm pretty sure I'll round up the whole thing and re sod.

That's a better option than tilling up an entire yard, trying to level it with a roller afterwards, riding on a pallet being pulled by a 4x4 to still try to level they yard since the roller didn't work, and then paying a guy with a tractor $100 to dig a hole, push all the crap into it, and then level the yard for you. I'm sure the neighbors had a good laugh, but it sure was a lot of pain for what roundup could have done.
