varmint hunting beginner

We have a pretty good stock of coyotes at our place in MS. any tips on how to kill some...we tried the electronic call thing it didnt really work out...i dont think we have enough of an open area....i know we could trap or poison but id much rather hunt.

lol yeah 270WSM might be overkill but i think itll work just fine...not looking to mount it or nothing...any tips on how to get them in range of any of these fine rifles

Or bait them with something else.
My buddy hunts them on his property in NC and he says they are smart as all hell though. Whatever you use to lure them in... electronics, whatever... they will figure that shite out quick and stop falling for it.
He's done the paper work and is shooting a 6.8SPC through a suppressed AR. He loves it.
