Anyone have any experience with Copperhead line from vortex? The 4x12x44 specifically doesn't look too bad for the money.

I will be buying the same scope soon for an old 243 currently has a worn out Pentax. Seems like a hell of a deal for a decent 100-200 yd hunting scope

Glad you liked it. I looked long and hard at a lot of scopes in that price range and liked it the best of all by a lot.

I ended up going with a Monarch 3 2.5x10x50 that was refurbished for $250 from Natchez ss. Getting it mounted tomorrow and hopefully make it to the range this weekend

To OP. If you are still using scope rings that came with gun, I would keep and eye on them. I had an Axis II XP with stock rings and Nikon scope. Rings kept coming loose. Ended up replacing with DNZ Hunt Masters and scope is solid.

Funny you should mention that. Mine literally broke in half at the bases while trying to sight it in the day after I bought it. Took me shooting a couple more rounds that were all over the place to take a closer look and see what the problem was

Every time I went to sight the gun I was all over the place. Finally my son was watching me shoot and he was like, Dad the scope is moving. Bought new rings the next day.
