I am in. Would love one night in the cabin, or what ever setup I can lay my head down in. Golf, run, and my brother will have every perch in the lake marked for my arrival.

WR, great job of putting noble thoughts into action. Great site selection too . Hard to beat a place you can golf, fish, bow hunt, run, drink, grill and/or just lay out and look at lake. And if 2d split dove season open lots of dove fields within 5-30 minutes ( if closed skeet shoot).
I think 4LSU2's intuitive self is correct when he predicts that between the OBers and all of Josey's other NELA friends and relatives that lodge/lake/ golf course will not have seen anything like that weekend.
Donating proceeds to kids of one or more families who recently lost their father at early age will mean so much to those kids and to the givers. The financial aid helps with that worry but showing those kids that so many people , many of whom are strangers, care about them is a priceless contribution to their current and future emotional well being. Josey's 7 yr old girl and 8 yr old boy have been helped immensely with all the support for them but they will be blown away when read transcript of all threads about them and their Dad in a few years. WR and others working to keep all of us doing such good things for as many such innocent kids as we can is as well time and money spent as there is.

I think the people that haven't been there are going to be surprisingly pleased with the area.

Very true, and we can shoot skeet at my folks house.

JSM, I will be texting you soon about some of the specifics of this whole thing. I have some things in mind, and plan to come over there one weekend and get together with you guys.

LSUBalls has a place not too far away from the lake. Tyrone can stay with Balls.

Y'all save me a spot in a cabin. Just let me know where to send money. Put me in the cabin with the folks that like to talk about titties, watch LSU game, drink beer, and fart.

Yes, they are through the Louisiana state parks. the cabins sleep 8 with 6 total beds, the lodges sleep 12. The cabins are on piers over the lake. The lodges are tucked in the woods across the street from the piers. I got cabin #3. Cabin #4 is on the same pier

Just booked cabin 2.

I booked for 3 nights Friday- sat and Sunday. That way check out doesn't come too early on Sunday. May have an extra bed , possibly 2

Edit: I think biggest issue will be 2 vehicle max per cabin.

Sweet. We have 3 total booked up now... I bet they will all be booked in the next week if this info gets blasted on FB. I just need to talk to Black Bear and confirm price and everything.
