Has anyone built one and does it do as well as advertised? I'm thinking of building one for the camp is why I'm asking

I bought a pit barrel cooker last year. Absolutely love it.

just use an old filing cabinet, its a ready made smoker with little to no alterations other then cutting the bottoms out of the drawers and laying in BBQ racks or screen mesh

I hav made two. Use it regularly. Great for a cheap charcoal smoker.
