Over the past 5 years or so my grandpa has really gotten into turkey hunting, and has had limited success. For his 80th birthday next year I’d like to surprise him with a guided hunt eastern turkey hunt. Does anyone have a recommendation for an outfitter that could offer lodging and a 2-3 day guided hunt? We are in Baton Rouge so a 10 or so hour drive would probably be the max distance he is willing to travel by vehicle. Im thinking Oklahoma or Missouri maybe? Open to any suggestions.

West Alabama has some good turkey hunting and some nice lodges.
Texas has a ton of options as does southwest Oklahoma.
Bend of the River Outfitters would be my choice but they are about 12hr from BR.

Get on some Rio Grande Turkeys in SW Oklahoma or West TX.

If you want to kill Easterns, don't come to Oklahoma. Vast majority of the birds are Rios and the southeast corner of the state where there are Easterns is more heavily regulated with a very short season.
